Beyond Repair (OLD: the new version MIGHT be posted shortly)

The newly elected representative of the Grand Parliament has gone missing, the value of currency is steadily declining, and the threat of war is looming over everyone’s heads. Units of spies have been launched to help assess the level of danger. People are sure that the government is watching their every move. No one feels safe, and no one is ready to trust.
Bren finds himself in the lower city of Nagendra, and out of necessity puts his life in the hands of an untrusting, bitter mechanic. Jovie has been taught all her life not to trust bionics, or men that have been enhanced with robotics, but with the money she stands to make off Bren, perhaps she can overlook it. She finds that Bren brings more than just broken machinery with him, however, as the manhunt for the missing representative continues, and a new one for the bionic suspected of taking him begins.
