Frank doesn't have many friends at school. But somehow, he ended up as an outsider in Gerard's group of popular friends. They don't pay much attention to him, but he's only there for Gerard, even if he never really notices Frank. When Gerard breaks Frank's heart a little and they end up as roommates on a school trip, the truth will come out in the form of a bargain: Gerard will get what he wants, and then he'll be Frank's best friend. What he doesn't know is that Frank wants just the same as he does, and that the events of this school trip will turn what was once unrequited love into something much better.

Gerard way and Frank Iero have always passed each other in the hallway but never spoke a word to one another. They are both alike in many ways. Both loners who feel like they don't quite belong. Frank mostly spends his days depressed and alone. The occasional hurtful remarks from his fellow classmates and father wearing him down.
