Keith is by my side in an instant. He strokes my face. The move feels so bold. We look at each other for what feels like forever. His lips twist into a rueful smile. "I really wish you could remember this."

"Why can't I?" My voice sounds strained and weak. My eyes fall on his, everything fades away. The pain in my head takes a backseat, the aching of my muscles dulls. His touch, his shiver-inducing tingling touch on my face, is what stays.

"I am going to fix everything. I promise."

Amara Knight is a young pack member of the Silver Moon Pack and best friend to the alpha's baby sister Kaden Black. After her parents death, she had to look after her little brother Niklaus, with the overwhelming responsibility of protecting the only family she has left. As her 19th birthday nears, she grows more wary of attending the mating bonfire that could be ever life-changing. A ceremony that could rip her apart from the only family she has ever known, her pack, but will fate have different plans? or will she forge her own? * * * "I've seen you cry plenty of times Mar. Don't get shy now" He whispered grabbing my chin and turning my head to face him. He wiped my tears gently with a frown. "I hate seeing you cry" He commented as I smiled softly. "I try to avoid it" I teased but I couldn't bring myself to laugh at my own pathetic joke. "Whatever you decide. I'll be here" He tells me after a long silence. Just the soft and comforting rain surrounding us. "I know" I smiled grabbing his hand in mine. "But I think we both know that there is no choice to make" I finished as the rain stopped abruptly leaving us with distant howling deep in the forest. My mind was made up. I've been told by many that I can be a very indecisive person. But this, this is definitely not something that I had to ponder for long. My decision had been made. I think, deep down, from the moment I laid eyes on him I knew. I am rejecting the Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack.

I almost choke on the piece of chocolate covered strawberry as I saw Alpha Liam from the Crimson Fangs Pack come walking towards me with a smile. I start looking behind me to see if he's really looking at someone else but I notice it's just me standing here. Once he approaches me, he holds out his hand. "May I have this dance?" He asks in a deep husky voice. I stare at him in shock and then quickly snap out of the trance that his gorgeous green eyes has captured my attention. "Y-Yes." I reply softly as I place the strawberry stem down onto the napkin on the table and place my hand into his as he begins escorting me out to the middle of the dance floor. I can feel everyone's eyes staring at us as they're smiling except for my brother's and his pack along with most of the girls' eyes that are shooting daggers at me right now. However, none of them matter. I suddenly am finding myself looking back into his eyes and not being able to blink. I know this might sound cliche and all but really, once we begin dancing to the music together I feel almost as though it's a scene from a movie. My heart is skipping a beat and I'm feeling my knees becoming a little weak. Why, out of every other beautiful girl that's here, why would he choose me? Did my brother set me up and paid him to come and dance with me, just to embarrass me even more? Alpha Liam is dancing with me. He is ruthless and is one of the most feared and yet most respected Alpha's there is and his training is intense as is also trying to get into his pack. I heard it's near impossible to and that not many last. He is someone you don't say 'no' to. Then it finally became clear as for the first time I heard my wolf, Amethyst's voice finally speak to me after three years......."Mate!" © Copyright 2018 All Rights Reserved
