sonnet ˈsɒnɪt/ noun plural noun: sonnets 1. a poem of fourteen lines using any of a number of formal rhyme schemes, in English typically having ten syllables per line. iambic pentameter noun · Prosody a line of verse with five metrical feet, each consisting of one short (or unstressed) syllable followed by one long (or stressed) syllable, for example Two households, both alike in dignity. Now a day's Sonnets itself are scarce because not many people prefer this form of poetry. And let's not even talk about iambic pentameter, modern day poetry has changed the face of poetry But a fellow sonnet and iambic pentameter lover, I'll bring poems with 14 lines and try to add as much of iambic pentameter lines as possible. because I think Sonnets + iambic pentameter = Something beautiful! Inspired from Shakespeare's Sonnets! (I am nowhere near his level lol, but I'll try to deliver decent Sonnets.
