Kassidy is 15 and owner of a German Shepherd with the name of Apollo. Her mother pregnant with her baby sister and her dad was left behind while fighting off a herd so his family could escape.
After multiple years of surviving on their own, her mother gives birth and dies, leaving the newborn infant with Kassidy.
She eventually runs into a safe haven, The Prison and meets the love of her life along with family.
