Back in a time long before ours, when kings and queens fought over land and territory for glory and riches, and disease and poverty swept over the land in several plagues, there was a kingdom remote from all of the violence and greed of the more established empires of the time. This kingdom was simply a kingdom that was.  It was a place that existed yet no one had recognized amongst the changing tides of the dark ages and renaissance that followed them.  It was a land where those who didn't have a place in the world could call "home".  And a land like this attracted Maxwell.
