I'm posting this looking for some feedback. Any constructive criticism will be greatly appreciated. Writing has always provided me with solace, by helping me to sort through and frame my emotional experience. During one of the more difficult times in my life--recognizing a toxic marriage and leaving--I used writing to understand what was happening. The poems, short stories, and essays here reflect my fragmented journey toward mental health. Works of art, they are not. However, I hope they can help others with their own journeys, even if only to provide comfort in knowing that they are not alone. Have you ever felt like life wasn't enough, like you were going through the motions day in, day out, all you wanted was a change. Well one day I woke up and made that change, I was no longer the well behaved boy that did as he was told, I was a new person and I wanted to do things my way. I wanted to do what made me feel alive, even if that was murder of innocent people, I wanted to grab someone and watch the life drain out of their faces, it pleased me.. it made me feel alive. Some late night thoughts, memories and feelings that turned into words. Most of these are written from my personal, very tragic life, however there are some inspired by friends, books and movies. Sometimes I even find old writings in a long forgotten drawer and upload them as well. Maybe You can relate to something as well? Honestly at this point it's more like a public diary but who cares. I started this a few years ago, so mistakes and moments of cringe are inevitable. Feel free to leave a comment if you see a grammatical or editorial error! I write on different devices so the formatting will differ quite a bit. I think it adds to the charm of the poems though, so please understand! Thank you and farewell!
