Thrown into a world of what some people would call delusion, Olivia Ross and her brother, Gage, become aware that dreams are, in fact, reality. Covered in ashes, Olivia and Gage are found by a mysterious boy named Miles Teller who takes them to The Arcane- a unique group of people who also know that dreams are actuality. The Arcane tells Olivia and Gage that their parents might have had information of the rising dictator, Sammuel Darrien, who is working towards ruling a totalitarian government via dreams. Forced to travel with The Arcane's most trusted group to rescue their parents, they fly to Washington, DC: the source of Sammuel's reign. Time is thinning and the group must endure hallucination and deception if they ever want to find Olivia and Gage's parents and stop Sammuel. They say they'll do anything- but are they really ready to give up their humanity?

Clary Fray had turned 18 and she all of a sudden had her world turned upside down. Even Optimus will feel his wall fall away slowly the more time is spent with this girl. And he learns there is more to humans than meets the eye. And when a darker threat reveals itself in a way they never though possible, and a possible way back to Cybertron, Optimus sees the courage in this girl even more. Especially when she finds herself wanting to help them get back home. Something he finds himself surprised that she is willing to help him.
