Leto is a typical teenager, except for the fact that he is an eighty-five year old vampire. The tightly kept secret of vampirism is something that he and the rest of the Pontus city vampires share. With the exception of the excessive night life that goes on in the seaside city, things are relatively peaceful. That is, until a string of murders begin, each body found washed up on the beach drained of blood.
As the vampires of the community rush to figure out who has broken their most sacred rule, to never take a human life, Leto has other problems on his hands. A girl who he met one night by the waters edge that is neither vampire nor human, but something completely different.
As the two grow closer and their secrets are revealed, they decide they must figure out who has been killing the humans of Pontus. With time running out and the townspeople growing more suspicious, Leto must put an end to the dangerous killer of Pontus before the life of the girl he loves is taken.

I lifted me head up and smiled at him and he dropped the body onto the floor. Completely drained of blood. He walked over to me and wiped the blood off of my lips. Then in his eyes I saw my reflection. And in that reflection I saw something. I saw my vampire fangs slowly turing back into my regular teeth. After discovering one of the bodies, Lila suddenly becomes the new target of the killer. In between dealing with the secrets and dynamics of being a werewolf, the totally not cliche grudge between the vamps and werewolves, being the potential next murder victim of a mysterious and possibly non-human killer, and a hottie with fangs that she sometimes kind of wanted to make out with and other times wanted to rip his throat out, Lila was definitely going to have a totally normal, average life in this new town.Completa
