"I guess you will come out when you're ready to. I am next door to her. Anytime you need something, call me!"
I look at him in shock. "I don't have you're number."
"Yeah, you do." He hands me my phone. There's a devious smirk on his face.
"How the hell did you get my phone?!" I yell a little loud. I look around and give an apologetic smile to the family next to us with a sleeping baby.
"You shouldn't ever walk around an airport with it in the back pocket." I try to recollect myself, but still find my jaw dragging the ground.
"Yeah, well maybe you shouldn't go around taking people's belongings." I agressively fold my arms across my arms across my chest, but cringe when my swollen hand takes the impact from the anger.
"Relax, Babe." He puts his hand on my shoulder to try and turn me back around. I shrug him off. I probably look like a two year old who didn't get the right Barbie for her birthday, but I really don't care at this point. "Did that hurt?" There is concern in his voice, but I still don't answer.
"You know, I have your number also," My eyes get wide, but I don't want him to see my reaction, so I quickly fix myself. "You're going to be a challenge, aren't you?" He pauses and waits. I don't reply; earning a boisterous laugh from him. "Good, I don't like when I get girls easily."
I slowly turn towards him. "What do you mean?"
"I mean, your Aunt Stacey thinks highly about me and would love to see you and I interacting, so I think that we're going to go on a date this Friday. Dress nicely, Babe. I'll be there at seven and if you aren't ready, well, there's not much running you can do."
The loud sounds that came from the airport seem to fade which is quite the opposite of my heart beat at the moment. I watch as Luke leans in closely.
"I hope you'll like what I have planned." His whisper is so breathy next to my ear it causes me to shiver. He laughs before he leaves a light kiss on my cheek.
