Money has always been tight for them ever since they moved into their own little house yet they always figured everything out... that was until Betty found out she was pregnant again 6 months ago, they both started getting more and more stressed getting ready for their baby girl to come, they would see less of each other and when Jughead would come home he would go straight back out to the bar, leaving Betty alone and pregnant with their 3 year old son.
