St. Nocholas, a hospital for the sick and mentally ill, is a hidden place in the woods a few miles away from town. I took the job as a nurse there to support my family, I did it for my sisters, brothers and my mum because she was sick. This is 1940, turbercolosis and war had taken over parts of the country and this is my story about how St. Nick came to change everything.
