After the war with Gaea, Percy and Annabeth broke up. Annabeth said that all he brings is trouble and she doesn't want to live like that anymore. Percy was heartbroken and went to his mother and learns the truth about his life.
Sally has been hiding a secret from Percy and the Gods. She is a Deathscythe from DWMA and that makes Percy one too. When she finally tells him about it, Percy's world gets turned upside down. Percy goes to DWMA and learns about being a weapon.
