Mercy Rogers is well used to screwing up, and as long as it pisses her parents off, she's okay with it. After all, as the teenage daughter of an acclaimed Hollywood actress, it's practically her purpose in life, right? Wrong. When pictures of her drunk at a rich kid's party end up plastered across the tabloids, the carefully constructed image of her perfect family is threatened, and Mercy knows she's really done it this time. Shipped off to some small beach town for the summer with a few scheduled therapy sessions and plenty of depression medication to boot, she's given the ultimatum: clean up her act or it's boarding school in the fall. She would have been happier to face the lunatic solo rather than be trapped with a guy who kept using the life or death situation to make passes at her. His theory was being so close to death should definitely loosen her up, and by ‘loosen up’ he definitely meant ‘get naked.’ Along with his friends who between them had the IQ of a baby tree stump, an outcast who probably still had Spiderman bed sheets and the cheerleaders who were more worried about all the blood staining their new white jeans, they had to somehow make it out of there alive.
