We're being watched. They told us it was for our safety. They said that if they had access to our phone conversations and messages, we would be safer from threats. A few years later, they told us annual checkups with a physician were mandatory, in order to protect us from a deadly virus that was spreading quickly. With the threat of an epidemic, we reluctantly complied. The real trouble came when they implanted the Monitors. They see what we see, feel what we feel... know what we know. Being watched, indeed.
