After her grandmother passed away she was gifted a diary from her, a small leather bound book for her to write in. However this little girl's life was less then glamorous. Living with a foster family that seemed to know something she didn't and a shadow that was constantly silhouetting her own, her life was just a big, weird mystery to her.
One day, however, this mystery was revealed as she was plunged into a new world she didn't even know existed. A world filled with myths and legends and people like her. Soon she started to realize that she was meant for something bigger and would have to fight her way through this new world.
A prophecy, a lonely dream, and a shadow that's constantly lurking. She writes about it all, for her grandmother.

Thirteen girls had lived a pretty crazy life, which just got even crazy. Two people named Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase come to pick them up, claiming they are some kind of demigod. Soon they figure out that life is a lot harder than they thought it was. Monsters are crawling all over the world, waiting to feast on their flesh. They are taken to Camp Half-Blood, a safe haven for demigods, and taught how to fight...for about twenty seconds, then everything starts to turn upside down. Satyrs from all over the country have been captured and it's their siblings job to rescue them. Their siblings are given a prophecy, only to later realize that the prophecy wasn't really meant for them in the first place. The eight were the captured, not the satyrs, and now it's the thirteen demigods job to rescue their siblings from the torture that awaits them. Solangelo saves them and tells Alice that they were looking for her because she was prophesied a quest. Coraline convinces Alice to bring her along, but Nico doesn't agree because of the whole "3 on a quest thing" but she goes anyways.
