"I have been telling myself all this time that I'm fine, that it doesn't matter. But today I saw pictures of her at a family cookout and I just wanted to have been there and to have hugged her and talked with her like we used to before she decided that I wasn't good enough. I wanted to push everyone else out of the picture and have it go back to the way it was before she decided I wasn't like her and I never would be. I wanted it back. It has been six freaking months and it still hurt like hell to see her face. If I am doing the right thing by keeping my distance, why does it still hurt?
