Clover. My name is clover. The story goes that my mom gave birth to me out in a clover field. A clover field way past all the gloom and cold fog. Somewhere where the sun shines on all. Well, I don't believe it. I don't believe a single word of it. As far as I'm concerned, my world can only get worst. So it did.

The palace had a way of swallowing people whole. Its grandeur wasn't meant to comfort-it loomed, oppressive and cold, reminding everyone who entered of their place. The marble floors, polished to a faultless gleam, reflected not just faces but secrets. The towering walls held stories no one dared speak aloud. Even the air within its halls felt charged, heavy with the weight of generations of power, betrayal, and blood. She had once known every corner of this place, every hidden passage and forgotten room. Once, it had been her entire world. Now, it was her prison. From the dais, the three princes watched her with expressions she couldn't name-too cold to be pity, too sharp to be indifference. They had once been her everything. Now, their gazes pressed against her skin like blades.
