What if you have a dream so vivid that you could still remember the smell of how the air outside, and the sound of the settling raindrops dripping off the roof?  
I guess it would make sense when the dream is actually a nightmare you can't beat. 
Though this was not just any nightmare, but it was a reality as well. 
To have a dream so intense that it leaves a residue of memories that no matter how hard you try, you can't force them out is terrifying. 
Terrifying, because instead of an ordinary dream this was also the life of a boy years ago.

I was walking to work one morning when a bag gets thrown over my head and I'm jerked back by two arms encircling my waist. My parents always told me this could happen as my father is the judge and put a high profile murderer behind bars. I was in the courtroom but the little girl who was sitting next to me- maybe thirteen, so not really little- said there's no way he did it.
