"Here," Tristan shrugged off his suit jacket and placed it on her shoulders.
"Thank you, that was a very gentlemanly move." Her voice was light and teasing.
He snorted. "Despite my past indiscretions, I can be a gentleman."
"We should head back before we miss the fireworks."
Tristan nodded in agreement releasing her waist from his hands. Without a second thought he reached out and grabbed her arm pulling her back to him as she turned away. She fixed her mouth to question him but was abruptly cut off by the feel of his soft lips crushing hers.

Unbeknownst to them Harper, Tristan's ex-fiancée and Jasmine's best friend, is back and when she learns about their kindling romance, her reaction is no less than explosive.

Warning: Mature Content. Outside, it was cold and breezy, with those familiar night stars that twinkled above us years ago. We walked side by side along the little path that ran across the gigantic grassy park at the center of campus. I buried it with the silence and the distant looks. I desperately wanted us to go back to being friends, before all the feelings showed up, before he embarrassed me in front of half the school by dismissing any chance at us being together. ~o~ Evelyn Martinez has had her heart broken exactly once, by Liam Saunders. Her heart was still Liam's, no matter how damaged it may be. This proves to be a problem when Harper falls for him as well. Everything changes when Liam reveals his own feelings and the truth behind why he hurt Ev.
