Rory Williams is the typical 7 year old boy that everyone absolutely adores. He enjoys the company of every one around him. He has the gift to make people laugh even if they are not feeling at their best. His life is basically perfect with one small condition: he has to stay in the hospital every day because of a life threatening disease and brain tumor that will cause his life to end at a young age. When Carlie May meets Rory, she automatically pities what a small child like him has to go through. As she gets to know Rory, she starts to figure out that she not only makes an impact on Rory, but that he's made an impact on her as well. Before his death, Carlie realises the message that Rory had given her: Always live your life to the fullest.
