Receiving chain mail is usually seen as a joke, but what if you should take it seriously.

if you receive a random text from a unknown number that says

My name is Daniel, but that's not important. Let me get straight to the point. I know where you live. I see everything you do. I have access to your house. This isn't a chainmail that all your friends send each other. This is a warning. If you reply, you have 24 hours to run from me. If I find you, I will kill you. Good luck hiding because I can see your every move. After 24 hours, I will move on to my next victim. If you're a wimp, don't respond within 24 hours and this text will disappear. Survivors- 2
