The Monolith - Part One

3 parts Complete

On his way to prepare his business for an important opening ceremony, Alex Vance is overwhelmed by a bright light shining from a crystalline tower, a building he swears he's never seen before. But no one in his life agrees with him, some saying it's been there for years, some saying it was built recently, some saying it can't possibly matter. The one constant reaction from everyone that Alex finds is not what anyone knows, but that no one wants to know. This aversion to his curiosity fuels Alex's search until it becomes an obsession. He becomes certain that the building holds secrets, secrets of its own, and, perhaps, secrets about Alex himself. But will he uncover any secrets at all? Or will he lose everything he's built as his obsession spirals? Or, worse-will he do both?
