Samuel Evans comes from what you would call a "broken home". His parent divorced when he was nine years old and he hasn't seen his dad since then. His mother was very distant after the divorce and Samuel spent a lot of his time by himself. He had some friends at school but none of them close. Samuel was miserable to say the least. Until he met Emory Brown. The summer before senior year Emory comes into Samuels life and changes him for the better. She teaches him about trust, friendship, and most importantly, what it's like to be loved. ( book cover creds: @elliottsdunning on Instagram)
