Some families have a few skeletons in their closets. Others have a whole graveyard.

At least, that's what thirteen-year-old Demi orphan Hajime thinks after his fire-wielding best friend Raiden returns to the Demi realm. If the Larter family's leaving six years ago isn't a mystery in itself, then Raiden's older brother being tagged a dangerous fugitive might be. That - or the fact that Raiden has absolutely no memory of their world at all.

While plunging deeper into Raiden's family secrets, Hajime starts to wonder more about his own. So when offered the chance to find his birthparents in exchange for helping Raiden find his wayward brother, he can't seem to refuse.

But what starts as a harmless quest to find Raiden's brother and Hajime's parents takes a sudden, life-threatening turn - because the Demi realm's most dangerous criminal is after those same people too.

You've just woken in the woods, away from everything you know. You're dazed and confused, unable to comprehend what's just happened. As you are coming to, images flash before your eyes of the last few days. Your parents were taken by the police, you were forced to run, to leave everything behind, to save yourself and your sister. But she isn't here. You panic and look around, you stop. You remember. She too was taken, you are alone. For now. This is what happened to Alexander, his life has just been turned upside down. The year is 2415, the world has both evolved and devolved. It isn't how people imagined. Flying cars, robots in every house, telekinetic pencils. No, they are only in comic books. Self driving cars. No robots in houses, but workhouses instead. Telekinetic pencils... that's possible, if you are gifted with the power of telekinesis. There are dark truths hidden behind closed doors, that only few know. Truths that if they got out, would bring the downfall of the government. A government that has been deceiving people for generations. But they haven't been as careful as they thought, because 100 years ago, one guy found out their secrets. 100 years ago, one guy started the rebellion that would bring about the end. From burning books, rewriting history and breaking human rights, this government will stop at nothing to make it seem that they are doing good. But people have had enough, the secret came out before. It's only a matter of time until it happens again. This time by a group of people that no one expected. Together they work to find out the truth, but things have gotten worse over the last century and this may not only bring around the downfall of the government. Armed only the powers they were born with, the group do everything they can to discover the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. But many have tried and failed, do they really stand a chance? Alexander doesn't think so, but his main concern is finding his sister, Rosia.

A kingdom across the sea, a man in pain clawing at a hated king who bears two shadows who protect him. A child, born from a mother with the powers of the Gods, screaming at a blood-soaked bed. A boy, a Prince, kind and full of the flame of life, sitting beneath a moon bug lit sky. Darkness enfolds the lands, its grasp claiming the continent and making its way from an already broken island, only to be stopped by the hands of fate. The hands of the girl and the Prince, and their love for the people in need of protection. This is their prophecy. This is their destiny and their fate depends on it. The Elemental rulers and their family are just beginning to find allies from unlikely and unimaginative places while creatures of myth and legend resurface from their campfire tales, and things aren't going as planned, so they'll have to find myths and legends of their own. Shouldn't be too hard. #6 - #strong-heroine #41 - #banter **Average Word Count Per Chapter: 8,000 **Edited (x2) LET ME KNOW IF YOU SPOT GRAMMAR ISSUES! *****Last Edited: 12/14/2024 NOTE FROM ME! - I very much model my works to resemble published examples, so there are no notes in any chapters from me, trigger warnings for chapters, etc. Just the world my brain likes to escape to every now and then.
