I can't seriously be thinking of liking a bad boy, or any boy for that matter. I will never trust men after what had happened to my mom. Men think they're higher ranking than women. They think they can do whatever they want in a relationship. Just look at school. Women have to dress appropriately because, apparently, men can't help but get distracted at our "shoulders." After that night Loque tried to kill my mom, I vowed to never be in a relationship. It's pointless, at the end, because we all know that it ends because someone cheated, the mutual bond decreased, or the divorce papers were given.

Avei Reveer once had a loving family, but that was immediately shattered when Loque, her dad, decided to forcefully rape her mom every single night. Her reputation and thoughts of men are now at a huge minimal. She wasn't the only one with problems. Brent Rodríguez, the school's polite bad boy, had problems too. Apparently, all through his suffering experiences, he couldn't help but realize that one specific number has caused him all the pain in the world.
Nine.
Will Avei change that perspective? Will nine forever be a bad luck charm?
