Alcohol infleunces people to do things they wouldn't normally do and they often regret it when they become sober.
Drugs cause hallucinations and effect people's lives. Drugs are addictive and cause walls to crumble.
Suicide is a thing. It causes great pain to the family of the victim.
Murder is a crime you can never get away from, it will be there to haunt you forever. Being a serial killer doesn't end well for you.

The party was quite nice. The school year had just started. But there was too much alcohol, too many problems, and a unfortunate accident that would kill 5 kids, leaving many in grief. Cheating happened, death happened, rape happened, and brought people closer to each other than they've ever been.
