"I'll fucking kill you Josephine!" Shouted a voice as I sprinted past the forest. My bare feet ached as I ran on the cold snow, dead branches clawing at my skin.
" If the snow doesn't kill you, I will! " I didn't stop running, tears streaming down my cheeks. I wasn't going to turn back, not after the torture he's put me through.
He is right, if I don't freeze to death out here, I can't just run for the rest of my life.
As his voice faded away, I noticed the pounding of paws to my right. Lawndale wasn't the only one chasing me. Something huffed, and twigs snapped.
Panicked, I turned left sharply, the wind blowing my hair in every direction. A growl erupted from the trees, and panic filled my heart.
I'm being hunted. Not just by Lawndale and his men, but by these monsters.

"What the hell are you?" I screamed. The more I scooted away towards the darkness, the more their eyes glowed. I hyperventilated as they grew nearer and nearer. "Calm down, human. I heard the the snow crunching under foot as I ran as fast as my legs would take me through the forest. The air whipped through my hair as I ran, creating a ribbon like flow behind me. I dipped and dodged around trees, careful not to trip or run into anything. Just a little further, I thought to myself. I knew I would be safe as soon as I saw the little cottage at the end of the thick forest. I was so close to my freedom, so close to opening the door. Bam! My body instantly became cold. I squealed as the snow fell into my collar and down my back. I wiggled trying to get it to pass through my coat and drop out the bottom. I turned around with a glare on my face. My father stood facing me with a smug grin.
