Keith Kogane is a sixteen year old boy who wants to be a future pilot and soar the skies of the Canadian Rockies. One day, his aunt and uncle asks him to come downstairs to meet their friend's son, Lance, an eighteen year old who came to help and trade with the Kogane family. He loves adventuring the mountains and working in his family's small fruit farm. Lance starts to fall in love with the happy younger boy, but his hopes of being with him forever comes crashing down when Keith's aunt and uncle tells him that he only has a few months to live due to his heart disease.
