Connors Station Short Stories

When my recently deceased eldest son was young, I wrote "Funny Money" for him. The main character reflects his personality. After I wrote the story, I read in an article on writing, that play money is a topic upon which one should never create a short story. I still like the story, as it was the first one I wrote about the fictitious town of Connors Station. I have always laughed when reading it. As a movie lover, I can picture in my mind the hilarity of each scene.

The new novel I am working on started with a story that came to my mind in the middle of the night - "Homeless Helen." I have include it here. As I write more Connors Station stories, I will include them in this anthology.

"Decision" was written years ago - at least thirty. I cannot remember why I wrote it; perhaps for a contest or a magazine. It was submitted, I think, but never published. Since this is a book of Connors Station short stories, I did add the name of the town before adding it to this anthology. Of course, being the perfectionist I am, it needed further editing. Does that process ever stop?

"Love at First Sight" is a bit trite, but I like it, so I have included it here.
