An Exian birthstone is not an item for horoscopes and jewelry. It is a mark you carry with you for your entire life. It governs how you are raised and what your profession is likely to be.

But what happens if you're not satisfied with your upbringing? And worse still, what happens if you're royalty?

Keno iSilade Amalxa was born to warrior parents as an Azursten. An Exian birthstone raised to be healers and scholars.

But she never agreed with that. Since she could hold a sword she trained with her sister, who was certainly qualified. Ira was a proud Winsten, trained to be a warrior from birth.

When talk of war rose among the crowds she went to her father asking to fight in the war. She soon realized she received more responsibility than she was prepared for.
