Meredith Grace Evanine. Loved by everyone around her. A typical seventeen-year-old girl with an average life that she truly enjoyed living. Until her diagnosis. Now, everything's changed. She lives the rest of her shortened life in a hospital bed, awaiting death, saying her last good-byes, and writing. Every single day she writes to a new person. Then she adds their letter to the stack under her bed. After her death these letters travel to some of the strangest sorts of places, ending up in the hands of some of the strangest people, but they all have a reason. Every single person that has ever impacted her life now awaits the letter from Meredith with her last official goodbyes, triggering memories that some may have even forgotten by now. Now Meredith's life is relived through the people around her as they plunge deeper into the meaning of life.
