Meet Lindsey Fisher.

She's your normal surfing addict, who adores being out on the waves and can hardly wait for the huge surfing competition coming up. But the flip side of her life isn't so pleasant, and is summed up in basically one word: stepmother.

Oh but, of course, Lindsey lives the average life of the modern Cinderella. Her stepmother and stepsisters have no pity for her surfing dreams, and she is forced to work a job at the family owned surf shack while still taking care of all the duties at home.

And Lindsey still dreams of getting out.

The surfing competition would guarantee her a start, providing a career so she could head out on her own. But will the demands of her overbearing stepmother drown out any chance she has in the competition?

Lindsey only has one chance. Throw in a famous boy, jealous stepsisters and an ongoing rivalry on the waves and the odds do not seem to be in her favor. But Lindsey Fisher was born to surf, and she's not going down without a fight.

After she has an accident while surfing she's scared to get back on the board. Her parents want to move back to Shorehaven, Australia; where she is from and where she visits every summer. She does not really want to do that but after breaking up with her boyfriend and not really surfing she decides to go with them for a few months. She thinks spending time around her friends in Australia will get her back to her normal self, but things are not all that easy.... Enter Baxter Radic; just moved from Queensland, Australia. After flunking Nationals, Serena is determined to prove herself to her family and ex-boyfriend by securing a spot on her college's elite swim team, with no choice but to ask her bitter rival and town heartthrob, Wesley, to train her. *** Serena Murphy has always been the girl from the wrong side of the island, especially after her father abandoned her to build a perfect life with his new family. Determined to prove herself, she sets her sights on her college's elite swim team, but without a trainer, she doesn't stand a chance. That is, until a reckless bet leads her to one of the most high-demand coaches and her ex-boyfriend's rival, Wesley Pierce. Serena and Wesley's late-night training sessions quickly become heated, and as Serena battles for her spot, old wounds resurface - her father's betrayal, her ex's new relationship with her high school bully, and Wesley's own family secrets. When tempers explode and fists fly, Serena is forced to ask herself: is Wesley just another rival or the only one who truly sees her? Set against sun-soaked shorelines and stormy summer nights, Making Waves is a steamy sports romance about rivalry, redemption, and falling for the last person you should.
