(Korra X Male reader)

'We were shamed, Noatak was no longer the leader of the cult and I no longer had power in the council... So I am going to ( or already have by the time you receive this letter ) blow up our boat. So we will both be dead. So do as I say, live out your life. Don't do what our father trained us to do, DON'T TRY TO KILL THE AVATAR. '

(Your name) looked down into the pool of swirling brown, green and red in his hands. Why should he listen to his brother? He killed both his own brother and himself and for what, out of shame and embarrassment? If he knew so much, if he was as wise as he made out to be, he wouldn't have committed suicide and dragged one of his two last family members to the grave with him. Or in this case, the sea.

...

( Your/name ) was raised by Yakone besides his brother Tarrlock, learning how to bend blood, so they could one day defeat the Avatar and take over Republic City. ( Your/name ) was different from his brothers, but he was his fathers favourite. He did not have dark skin or bright blue eyes like his brothers, but their father said it was just a throwback in genetics. He did learned water bending slower then his brothers, but their father said he was still learning. He was far more powerful then benders three times his age as a child, but their father said that he was the 2nd Avatar...

121 parts Ongoing

Korra, the new Avatar of the world, has grown up happily in the Southern Water Tribe. Well, as happy as one can be with constant Avatar training. She may have had her best friend, Lemaya, Master Katara as one of her teachers, and her amazing parents to make everything worthwhile, but with still so much to learn about the ways of bending, she felt that it was time to explore new horizons. Now, she stands on the edge of a great adventure that will change her life and legacy as an Avatar forever. No pressure, right? Book One: Air [completed] Book Two: Spirits [completed] Book Three: Change [completed] Book Four: Balance [ongoing] This is also posted on ao3 with the @JinxingGinny as well, so if you prefer that format it is available.
