This is a short story I wrote based off of a writing prompt from my friend thorgirl1   (check her out, she's great!) The prompt was "lost precious." It's also an analogy, a different way of looking at God and the world. Yes, everything I write seems to be like this. I'm sorry... except I'm not.  ;)

I knew what was coming later tonight, not only at home, but on the way there. I knew that reacting right now would just make it worse though. So I kept quiet and pretended that I was not dreading when I would be alone with the man that stood beside me, wondering when it became so normal to do so. Jason and Alicia have the perfect relationship from the outside looking in, but Alicia has kept her wounded spirit and body hidden well. After another one of Jason's violent rages that is impossible to hide, Alicia is finally able to get away from the abuse though. In the process of healing, she begins to relearn what trust, compassion, and safety are once again - that is, until Jason discovers her whereabouts. This story is about a boy who wants to do things the way his home used to live like. . . will he see the flaws in others and judge them or learn to be understanding of others? Read to find out. My friend at school told me he was writing a book called this but didn't know what it was going to be about, so I said "why don't we both write a version of it and then compare them to see what we each did differently," so this is it! This story is about a man called max who dies in an accident and finds himself on a giant spaceship. Where a select few go to look eternally for the gem of thunder, and nobody has obtained it yet. This book is getting a rewrite! I am not satisfied with how it turned out, and it needs reworking for me to finish off the storyline.
