Charles Alblice has always led an ordinary life in Birchtowne. He enjoyed the company of his cousin, Quinn, and their best friend, Michael. The three lived their lives as carefree as any other teenager would.
But life in Birchtowne gets messy when kids and teenagers alike begin disappearing every week without so much of a word of hope from Flare - the town's superhero - or the authorities. When Michael joins the ranks of the missing, Charles and Quinn are thrown into disarray. Quinn is angry; Charles feels lost and completely and utterly helpless.
After a run-in with his ex, Lea - who happens to be Flare - and a near run-over by a truck, Charles learns he has supernatural abilities. He doesn't even have time to process the revelation before Lea is pushing him to be something bigger than himself.
After accidentally saving a strange girl in the woods, Charles learns the disappearances happening all over town are just a minor detail in a bigger, more sinister plot than he ever could have imagined. Alongside Quinn, he swears to defeat the powers conspiring against the town.
Dropped headfirst into the world of being a superhero, Charles finds unexpected opposition when the people of Birchtowne become convinced he is the villain in their story.

The Villains: Revolution ✓
Set in a post apocalyptic world 29 years from now, the world is bathed in mutagen that transformed every human being on the surface of the earth to supernatural beings. The earth was thrown into chaos as people struggled to control their powers, the death rates rose at an alarming rate, the world needed a hero and they got it... From the ashes rose an elite group called the luminos which consisted of majority of the world leaders, they came up with a movement to restore balance, they divided the world into two, the heroes and the villains. The heroes were helpers, the ones with stable powers, the villains were considered vicious and a ticking time bomb so they were confined to a reform center, a military base owned by the luminos, where the villains learnt to control their out of control powers. The world balance was restored thanks to the luminos, many years later and the movement was intensified, the world leaders called it the revolution. Jade Riele Smith is a 17 year old villain with dark powers and the ability to open portals, she was separated from her family after they were brutally murdered as punishment for escaping the reform center, she joined the resistance which consists of a group of teenage villains who fight to disrupt the revolution, to restore equality and justice. The Darkness in the Light
For over a hundred years, humanity has lived in fear of the monsters that roam the streets, lurking in the drains below. Her eyes are always drawn to the dark, ominous drains in the street, the ones that often blink open to swallow and person whole. One day, that person is her little brother, snatched right in front of her from their arms of their father and gone forever. When a person is snatched, they never return, and life goes on without them. But she can't accept that. Breaking all the rules, all the things she's ever known, she braves the world outside her little townhouse and goes on a mission into the darkness to find her brother. Only, it's soon her that becomes the one lost to the drains. To survive she must rediscover her world, and in the process, rediscover herself. She will be reunited with old friends, gain new ones, find out deeper secrets about her past than she ever could have imagined, and learn that the world is even more corrupt than she always thought. *** This story contains sexist ideology, mention of cheating, some gruesome scenes, and a whole lot of monsters and darkness. In the wake of ridding Oakwood of Wanderers, other dangers come creeping in and they're somehow linked to Luc's absent twin. The past returns to haunt the mutants in inconspicuous ways. Six high school students looks like anyone else acts like anyone else but are capable of things no one else is. They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I am working on rewriting this story and when I do there will be the trigger warnings in the correct places.) (small teaser.) No one sees me. I am a ghost. I brush against the wooden fence.
