I never believed in MONSTERS until I met him. Men like him? Oh, they don't walk in the light. Nobody says their names out loud, their DEEDS aren't recorded, but you'll see their HANDIWORK everywhere if you know where to look. It all started that one night. At the time, it seemed like nothing, just another evening. Little did I know, that was the night everything would change. The first time I stumbled into his DOMAIN was purely by accident, I had no clue what I was walking into. But the second time? That was different. I went there on purpose, driven by a job. Nothing personal, just BUSSINESS, or so I thought. Something I could easily leave behind when it was all done. Oh, how naive I was! His world isn't one you can just wander in and out of without a scratch. It's a place built on unspoken agreements, lies that dig deep, and truths too dangerous for most to handle. Every moment spent there pulls me further into his gravity. I thought I could maintain my distance, but somehow, I found myself getting closer to him, much closer than I ever planned or wanted. Close enough to almost forget what he really is. And that's the trouble because deep down, I still know how it ends. If he ever figured out why I'm really here, he wouldn't hesitate to put a bullet through my head. Walk away now while I can? I wish! Somewhere along this twisted path, with fate and its cruel jokes about CONTROL and POWER over others' lives, an ILLUSION crept into my mind. That maybe, just maybe, I had control over everything. That I was PLAYING the game. But no, not once was I ever the PLAYER. Just a PAWN in this bloody game of BLOOD & THRONE !! ____________________ ⚠️ WARNING This book contains mature themes and strong language.
