In the beginning, they needed each other, in the end they found each other. Was it fate? Destiny? Luck? All The Doctor and Christine knew was that they wanted each other. The Doctor could take Christine on adventures like her books and Christine could hold his hand all the way. (The Doctor is from the show Doctor Who on BBC as well as his accessories however the character Christine is one I have made up)

When Patrick went off with a different troop something bad happened and Carrie thought he died. She was now had special abilities and was classified as a defender of Earth and she could finally find her friend.
