Winter in the small, normally quiet and shy town of Hilaris. And in Hilaris this year, the whole entire season of fall has been a bad one, a cold one. Some of the families have been able to escape the town before the snow blocked off the roads. But the unfortunate children and families who have to stay in Hilaris, are pretty much stuck.

There has been lots of drama. Everyone had a reason to flip out; the cold weather, the constant snow, the fact that there was no where to go to escape anyone you hated, the fact that everyone STILL had to go to work and worst of all; school. And on one school day at Hilaris Highschool, something happens. Something expected, but something unbelievable. One student snaps. But which student? Why?

Everyone's in danger as students start disappearing one by one. Fingers are pointed at everyone, and even the best of friends are skeptical of each other. Anyone could be the killer. Snowed in, the kids of Hilaris High have to find out who's the one who started it all, where the missing students are; but can they destroy the killer before destroying themselves?

Or is the killer hunting him? ***** When Colton Crest returns, unharmed, to his small town after mysteriously disappearing for two months, his best friend Elliot Parker breathes a sigh of relief. But days later, on the night before graduation, Elliot finds Colton in the lake. Dead. And on the day of his funeral, Elliot finds a letter in his jacket pocket with four words that send him spiralling: I killed Colton Crest.
