They are termed entertainers, and at the age of eighteen, they are auctioned off, left to the mercy of their owners. Entertainers are essentially concubines, but any relationship beyond slave and owner is strictly forbidden, and punishable by death. It's a risk many people are not willing to take, but there are exceptions to every rule. Nevaeh Williams has a past unlike the majority of the other entertainers. She's forbidden from sharing her past, but her experience has led her to both fear and despise the New Society. After two years in the institution, she's auctioned off to a young billionaire. Noah Ivanov is withdrawn and mysterious, hiding a secret of his own. As things heat up between them, a shaky truth comes to light that forces them together.
