...  Years ago, Alexandria Grayson was attacked by a bear in the small town of Wolverton Summit after wandering in the forbidden forest at night, leaving an ugly and large scar running down her face. It's served as a reminder to stay away from the forest ever since.

       Seven years later, seventeen year old Alexandria is ready to go back to her home town to recover the memories she lost.

       She comes back to the same old thing, the same buildings, the same people, and the same gossip. To the same judgmental women and the same superstitious men. But nothing will ever be the same in Wolverton Summit when the notorious Wolvertons, a mysterious and large family whose ancestors founded the town, return to live in the Wolverton Manor.

       Even worse for the suspicious town's people, the Wolvertons start attending the same high school their children go to.

       And despite the constant warnings Alexandria gets that the Wolvertons aren't all what they seem, she can't help but feel drawn to Hunter Wolverton, a mysterious outcast with a giant family.

       But with tensions rising and large wolves spotted in the forest, Wolverton Summit's once peaceful and quiet air is shattering. With murders from the past, a stalker, an abduction, an attack, and a suicide, all fingers point to the Wolvertons. And Alexandria is caught in the middle of a brewing war between the people of the town and the guy who seems to call to her soul and makes her feel alive again.
