Fred weasley x Oc. It was a misty morning at Hogwarts for the day the students would be returning. Though unlike usual, one student had arrived much earlier and as she walked from Hogsmeade station up to the castle by herself on the quiet muddy road, though she would not dare complain, the silence around her was as though she were walking to a funeral. But in fact she was pleased, even if her expressionless exterior said otherwise. A cloudy grey sky remained overhead, the clouds swirling about causing an irregular breeze to blow through as the sun tried to make it's way visible from the cloaked sky, but it's efforts fruitless as it never stayed long. It was strange weather for what was likely going to be a strange day, if not a strange new beginning. Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or it's caharcters, nor do I own the art. But it is my story, so enjoy.

A bright flash rose through the pitch-black sky. It brightened the impression in front of Hermione's eyes. The ground was muddy and soaked by the heavy rain. Thick raindrops hit her face, wetting her clothes, but she didn't feel it. Numbness was all she felt. She saw it happening, disbelieving. She saw how the light emerged from the tip of her wand and formed a mist around the sixteen year-old boy who stood a few steps from her. The dark trees around them made this night even darker than it already was. The sound of her yelling the spell still rang through the silence, but a shriek from the girl at her left side interrupted that echo. At that moment, a blaze of green light hit the mist in front of the black haired boy. It barely reached his chest before the light bounced back. The girl at Hermione's side raised her wand and cried "Stupefy!"
