She has a quirky yet amazing group of friends that love her, and she might have just made things way less awkward with her long time crush Danny. Because of an issue involving Danny that she had with her friends the previous June, Lyra has convinced herself to never have s crush on anyone ever again. Everything is perfect, until she meets the boy who has just moved to her school from Mexico. Alec and Lyra begin to develop a friendship. However, Lyra's friends are jealous of their relationship. Lyra starts to have feelings towards Alec that she can't control. One night, as she cowers in fear of her nightmares, Lyra begins to write a diary. She combines her fears and her feelings on paper. Lyra writes a story, a murder, in the shape of an imaginary plan to help herself understand her heart.To her it is an escape, but to anyone else who reads it, it is a horrifying plot to kill her new found friend.
