Es la historia de un matrimonio joven formado por Alicia, una joven angelical, y Jordan. Ambos están enamorados. Viven en una casa escalofriante y majestuosa en la que Alicia pasaba el tiempo sola hasta que llegaba su marido. Así empezó a adelgazar hasta el punto de que un día tuvo que salir al jardín apoyada en el brazo su marido. Fue el último día que Alicia estuvo levantada. Al día siguiente el médico la examinó con mucha atención sin encontrar enfermedad alguna y ordenándola calma y reposo. Al día siguiente Alicia siguió empeorando, se veía que iba hacia la muerte, sin que el médico supiera de qué enfermedad se trataba. Por el día su enfermedad no avanzaba, pero cuando se levantaba aparecía cada vez más lívida. Los dos días finales deliró sin cesar a media voz hasta que por fin murió.
