She gulped as she looked at him, hard eyes stared back at her, remembering their past, but also telling of the body she knew lay below his suit, she could feel him even though they were a desk apart. She saw a boy with arms wide open, but he was powerless to the seasoned tycoon that sat in front of her. "What are you doing here?" he asked, almost inaudibly, not that he would ever repeat himself. She was the first witness to his passion for business, his first taste of success, his command of attention and amusingly, still her body.
Outside of his office, she had basked in his rich, husky laughter, now she basked in the anger radiating from him as he glared at her and fisted his hands till his tan skin showed white knuckles. She drank in the sight with deep satisfaction, glad to have affected him. She let his heated gaze flow through her, welcoming it as she portrayed nonchalance and indifference, prepared for the inevitable argument. She could be sarcastic and provoke him, even then, he was a beauty that she loved to observe. She hated him, but she could not deny his aura that called to her, she could refuse it, but no, she could not deny it. Yes, he deserved, any tongue lashing that she could give him but those intense eyes, quickly darkening from grey to green warned her to choose her next words wisely.
