Friends for Now

"We're just friends", we say.
But friends don't talk to each other like we talk to each other. Friends don't treat each other how we treat each other. Friends don't look at each other the way we look at each other. Why am I lying to myself like this? I'm putting off the inevitable. Sooner or later somebody's going to get hurt, and that somebody will probably be me....
