Lance Collins is a teenage violinist attending Weyral High School, and, being so famous, many girls there are in love with him. Lance, however, doesn't have any interest in girls and is too engrossed with music to care about romantic relationships. Despite his best friends' doubts, he's someone who doesn't experience romantic attraction - what is known as an "aromantic."

Mackenzie Adams is a famous Hollywood actress who decides to study at Weyral with her best friend, Rachel, after being brokenhearted for eight months. Because of a bad break-up with her boyfriend, she doesn't trust guys anymore, even when Rachel advises her to give her heart another chance, that love could strike anywhere, and with the person you suspect the least.
Lance and Mackenzie eventually meet, and sparks do NOT fly.
