Society has been destroyed by the outside forces that plague this world. The shadows possess our loved ones and turn them against their own kind. War was wages just to keep our planet save, but we still have found little ways to combat their kind. Not with the light now struggling to find pure souls with all of them tainted with blood from this war. We are fighting a battle we are going to lose. Our only hope is the next generation, Our children. We hope some of their souls can stay pure as the light continues to search for pure souls. I am very aware that we must protect this planet...but it's a lost cause. I only have three months along with a couple other of our best soldiers to prepare these children for anything...that's plenty of time but that isn't what i worry about. I worry that they will turn on one another, without any form of government, nothing is stopping them from doing to one another as they please...3 months may be enough to train them for what might be to come, but it is not enough to raise a government from the ground up. I hope they can at least figure that out.

"It's human nature. It's instinct to survive, no matter the cost." The world has fallen into desolation. The apocalypse has already started and finished, leaving some of the surviving ones with strange powers and mysterious scars. The world has ended, according to some, and is now in a state of rebirth. Others say it hasn't ended yet and that it's only going to get worse. The remaining people have grouped together in packs and gangs, raiding the desolate cities and avoiding the ones called the Destroyers, who capture and torture the remaining survivors. Their leader, a destructive insomniac, promises to help him in return for the skills and usefulness this young boy seems to possess, but something disrupting sends waves of unease through the Raiders, something about a forgotten past and talk of a mutiny. "Maybe there's more to life than just surviving." ... Rated C for Caution. Though it's rated mature, there is no bad language or vivid descriptions of sexual contact. It does have very strong themes. "The world around her swam with mottled light. How long had she been fighting?" So...in sixth grade we took this computer-skills class. Our final test was to write a short story in Microsoft Word. My story ended up fleshing out into the trilogy I am working on and planning to publish at somepoint in my life, but I realized how incredible my writing skill has improved between just the two or three years. What's not enough for one, too much for three, and just right for two? A secret. But you know teenagers. We tend to break or bend the rules. In this case, three is just right for the secret that these highschoolers hold. Facit autem virtus nostra nos. Our power makes us one. "So, what am I?" "We, we don't know. We're still trying to figure that out." And with that, he got up and left the room. Swirling his coat behind him, leaving us to deal with this information. I felt as if I had just been slapped directly in the face with a frying pan. What do you mean you don't know what I am? As if I'm some sort of alien creature or something that's going extinct.
