Avaline Baker is a young woman on a camping trip with friends when she decides to go into a museum that will change her life forever. Ava finds herself stuck in 1944, with "strange" technology called a cell phone, no way of charging it, and no way of getting home. In the midst of a gruesome and horrifying war, she finds herself questioning more than just sanity of the time period, but even her own.
