Royal Star is a 17 year old introvert girl whom you'll always find absorbed in a book or the art that she creates. Despite living with a loving, delighted family that's composed of two loving parents and seven children, she's been having a difficult time. At school, no one admires Royal besides of her loyal best friend of 7 years, Xander.
Once a month, the magical fireflies that Royal has kept in a jar ever since she was 6, glow brightly and swirl around her bedroom, and swipe Royal away to a world of her own imagination, and take her far away from the appalling life that she lives. Royal is grateful for the chance that she gets every month, for her life is not an easy one to live, and a chance to be swept away from the world -even for a short period of time- is a blessing to her.
However when a monstrous event takes over Royal's life, the fireflies stay unlit, and she cannot escape; she is stuck in her life, and she realizes that there's only one thing for her to do: face reality.
The art of letting go depicts a story of introvertism, art, and family ties.

Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
